~ Candy Corn ~

I have been obsessed with this lap quilt since July...That's when I started making lots of blocks, knowing that not every one of them would be perfect...Now I have a really  large stack of lopsided blocks left over upstairs !!  They will probably be used to make an old throw around quilt one day...
This one started out as a Halloween quilt but once I finished piecing it all together...it started to look more like candy corn to me...It has shades of orange, black, purple and cream...Since I never plan anything, it just became what it is!  However, I still want a black/orange Halloween  quilt.  It's in the back of my mind ... maybe, next time?!!
All that  I have  left to do now is layer and quilt...Something that I have never tried before...Wish me luck!
This quilting adventure has been a long slow progression of trial and error...I have many duds in my sewing room that are all pieced together with crooked lines and lopsided corners... As I continue to try to make a quilt, it becomes a little easier...I never thought I would say that!!  Persistence does pay off...
~ Have a great day! ~
Take Care,
Tina
