...Road to Recovery ...

Thank you all so much for your kind words and emails. I'm starting to feel a little better now since my stomach surgery. I still get a little tired if I push too far and do too much but a nice little rest always helps...I really want to start piddling around again in my sewing room but I'll wait a little bit longer before traipsing up to the attic for that... This recovery business is taking a little longer than I had expected!!

Whilst recovering over the weekend I found a wonderful movie that drew me in from the very beginning. I just had to write a little bit about it because it's worth watching...more than once!! "Julie & Julia" is such an inspiring movie and it's more like two movies running parallel to each other so you really get to know both women... In my early married years I loved to watch all the PBS chefs and Julia Child was always a flamboyant character ...(I wanted to cook gourmet dinners for my lucky new husband but I just never found the time and we never had the money either)... After watching this movie, I saw what an interesting and inspiring life she (Julia) led plus she had a very happy marriage too ... Amy Adams (Julie) was great too...Taking on the task of cooking every recipe in Julia Child's famous cookbook and blogging about it as she went along... All I can say is...you gotta see this great movie!! TWO THUMBS UP !!
Take Care,
Tina
