The nice lady at Wild Birds Unlimited warned us that this may happen...If you look closer, you will see the unwelcomed visitor that we have in one of our birdhouses. My son actually happened to see him slither into the box...perfect timing!!
Luckily and thankfully, the new titmice family have been gone for a couple of weeks. I know that we have snakes here in our woods but this is going to make me even more paranoid...I like to do my own thing and not cross paths with these fellows...My paranoia has just skyrocketed to a new level now!!
Please watch for snakes in your birdhouses!!
Take Care,
Tina

OMG...My heart would stop if I saw that in person. Yikes doesn't quite cover what I would be saying. I have snakes in my yard from time to time but I didn't know they could climb up in trees.
EEK we had a 4ft fox snake in our garage last year and then I found a baby one while weeding my flowers. We live on the edge of a state park and these snakes are protected here...but I still wish they would leave our yard. Be careful. Janice
Oh my, no worries here, but yikes it right, Francine.
That makes my skin crawl.
It's got a tiny head, phew, the "bigger heads than bodies" varieties are the ones you really have to worry about. But still! I hate snakes! I had no idea they would climb a tree or have the desire to enter a bird house! Be careful!
