I spent some time working on my patchwork quilt top today...I pieced all of my rows together and they were actually straight for once!! Quilts have become like a magnet now...They are all I can think of and all I want to do is sew them together...It must be all the pretty colors...I feel five years old!!
I am sticking with a blue/brown theme here, so I chose a nice bright blue for the inside border...I know you probably noticed a few red blocks too...They were thrown in for a pop of color...I must have read that somewhere...Up to this point, I have read far more than I have sewn!!
The finishing touch is this nice brown and blue outside border...I used only Civil War fabrics here...I love Judie Rothermel, so most of these are from her various CW lines of fabric...Unfortunately, I am not looking forward to the next step...Sandwiching and quilting have been my weak points in past attempts...However, I think I can do it this time!
I thought that my adorable little speckled kitty had left me all alone until I sat down to sew and discovered her on my boxes of stuffing... looking right at me ...Kitties are just so darn sweet!!
Take Care,
Tina

I love the colors and prints you chose, your quilt is going to be gorgeous!
It makes me want to start one, I've done only one and it took me 5 years to finally finish it so I'm scared to tackle another one, but looking at yours makes me want to go fabric shopping!
