~ Antique Browsing ~

It's amazing how sometimes you are guided in the right direction...
and you don't have a clue how you got there...I have been
visiting a small local antique shop lately just to look around
for crocks, baskets and little goodies. Somehow, I ended up in
the back room standing in front of a colonial style
bed frame...I couldn't pull myself away...always circling back around.
This is when I realized that this would be a great improvement to the old
clanky, hollywood bed frame that was currently gracing my spare room...yuck!!
...This is not what I went there for but it is what I needed...I love it!!
A second trip to the same antique shop brought me to this wonderful 1800's cupboard.
It is perfectly made for my ever growing supply of wool. It has it's origins in Frankfort
KY circa 1800 and is well made...A real benefit to antiquing is in finding the background history
to the pieces that catch your attention.
Sometimes you just need to go with the flow because you never know what you may be drawn to...or what goodies you will find!My office/wool room looks so much better now...I can actually see the floor again!!
