 This  weekend was spent painting an old birdhouse  found in the garage... Jacob,my son, had made it a couple of years ago and we had almost forgotten about it...

 Luckily, we were able to find a nice saltbox red paint that I had previously used on the front door...a few colors ago...  I change the front door color on a regular basis!!

  The little red saltbox birdhouse was hung on a tree Saturday after lunch...It didn't take long for a pair of little wrens to discover it... They  started carrying little twigs  inside...A couple of little busy bodies at work!!

Just yesterday, we noticed a pair of little chickadees interested in the same birdhouse...However, the little wrens have fought them away thus far ...We now have another birdhouse in production...It will be painted and hung on a tree soon too. We can't wait to see who our new neighbors are this time... Hopefully a nice little family of chickadees!!
