~ Pumpkinville, NC~

Fall fever is taking over now...While in Virginia, I loaded the van with pumpkins to bring home and covet ...They had not arrived in North Carolina at the time.. so I really stocked up!! I have also bought quite a few NC pumpkins in the last week...Help me...I can't stop!!!
My parents are raising  long island cheese pumpkins (on the left) and their backyard is a bonifide pumpkin patch...This is the first year that they have been able to raise them...Imperfect weather has been killing them in the past but this year was prime for pumpkins over there! ... So, cheese pumpkins were stuffed into every nook and cranny in the van... It was tight coming back but the more the merrier ... Hey, they were going to a loving home...mine!!
A little pumpkin here and there is just as valuable as a large one...They just look so cute and that splash of orange catches the eye...This is a little store pumpkin that I couldn't pass up...
The mantel is adorned for Fall...sweet annie, pumpkins and log cabins...what could be better? I don't discriminate when it comes to my pumpkins background...some were raised by family, some were bought off a pumpkin cart at a pumpkin farm ... and others were purchased at the grocery store...They are all special in my eyes...I sometimes look at myself as a pumpkin shelter, I wonder if there's a tax write off for that? ...They have a home with me up into the winter months...They live out their days here in a peaceful way...Uncarved...it's absolutely forbidden!!
Aaahhmmm, I have been locking myself  away up in the attic lately working on a lap quilt with a Halloween theme... I am almost finished piecing my blocks and will be putting the top together soon...I had some leftovers and put together this small top ~ soon to be finished and quilted...I really enjoy the quiet time and piecing together all the beautiful Fall colors ... Life is good...
Take Care,
Tina

You may have just inspired me to piece a lap quilt. I have not worked on a single craft since my parents passed away but this is the first one that I thought I might enjoy! Dianntha
