~ Sunshine and Mockingbirds~

Spring is springing and bushes and trees are starting to bud...The daffodils that we planted last Fall are looking good and healthy today ...I love the ones with the double blooms...

The "witches broom" (background) is beginning to bud...and the hydrangea bush is still alive!! They are not that hardy here and we have lost a few in the past so I'm happy to see green on this one...

I went around checking on all of my coneflowers today...I was so happy to find this one looking healthy...Most all of them pulled through the winter and this one is a good example... I don't know why, but I love these flowers!!

Look at this beauty, I'm starting to collect all the various Revolutionary War flags and this is my newest. It's a "Join or Die" flag. I think Benjamin Franklin designed it. I hope I'm right...I'm going out on a limb here!! ...Thanks to ebay, I'm going to need a row of flagpoles on my stoop to display them all... It's been very hard just putting one out at a time and I have a couple more on the way!!

***

It was a nice warm and lazy day today full of sunshine ...a day for a well deserved nap...With the warm sun beating down, it's hard to think of anything else...It's dusk now and the mockingbirds are back. It's so nice to hear them perched up high somewhere singing to their hearts content as night is falling... a peaceful way to end the day...I hope you had a good one too...

Take Care,

Tina
