~ Sugarplums and Candy Canes ~

Well, it's time to take a big sigh and relax for a short while. I have been busy cleaning, shopping, wrapping and decorating...oh and baking. After writing this, I'm wondering if this is really so relaxing!! The house is all decked out for Christmas now and I have been running around like a little elf taking pictures. I'll be posting some of them on my picturetrail in the next few days...

A nightly ritual now is shooing the kitties from underneath the tree. Everyone wants to curl up and go to sleep there. We hear bulbs hitting the floor and packages moving around...occasionally a little face pops out like above and gets to stay...Who has the heart to say no? Yep, they get away with murder!

Take Care,

Tina

Hi, Tina, they are so darned cute our kitties. It seems like a blog-wide plague of kitty owners to have their trees attacked. We scared our so bad one year when Mr. Glen Oaks was using a compressor in the basement that they never go near the tree anymore. It was just a coincidence that they were batting bulbs and crawling under it when the air went off and they went flying! So they associate the tree with that noise, when they saw it go up this year they avoided the living room for 3 days!
Merry Christmas,
Susan

Tina, I too have the cat under the tree problem. I know that there is one little gray cat who causes all the mischief in this house, but my husband who is a night owl and is up when the "crazies" start keeps telling me that Shadow has a co conspirator by the name of Frito. I don't believe him, Frito is a perfect cat! Shadow even took baby Jesus hostage and had him hidden behind the tree. Just so you know you aren't alone....!~Ann

I wouldn't be able to resist that sweet little fur face either. Dang - they are one of God's cutest creatures. (My tree is temporarily kitty-free - for some reason, they only like it if it has lights on it....otherwise, they use it only for a water dish....) Wishing you a joy-filled weekend....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
