~ Ta- Da ~

I finally got a quilt made, it took a couple of years!! It's a summer quilt with no batting and I had to start with lap size to be safe...but it's finished... I gave it to my baby sister as a housewarming gift. She will be moving into her first home this summer and I know she has been collecting appliances and gadgets and I didn't want to buy something that she already has in her stash...So I used my stash...that happens to grow everyday...I can't help it...I'm a fabric-aholic!!!

It has been so hot and humid here and our air conditioner is blowing hot air...perfect timing!! I really don't know how the pioneers made it back then without Orkin or air conditioning!!

Take Care,

Maybe I am totally clueless, but making a quilt without batting? FABULOUS! I think that is what I'll do. Never heard of that. Love that idea, thanks!!!!!!

I know how you feel...I started my first quilt in 2005, and I am just NOW quilting it. Got the top done pretty quick, and wisely decided to quit at twin size. If I'd gone larger, I'd never finish! It takes me two hours to quilt each block, I've been trying to do one block per evening, but it's still taken me three months to get halfway done! Yours is lovely and I think your sister is very lucky!
