~ Usefulness ~

This bowl of pumpkins made it through Christmas and into spring!! I have been determined to keep them to look at for as long as possible because I just never tired of seeing them...However, we all started noticing little spots and scratches appearing on them recently so they were then inspected on a daily basis...Finally, it was apparent that they had to go...they weren't rotten ...just shriveled-ly looking!!

***

A day or two went by and the bowl sat empty...We were desperately searching for something to put in it because it fit the top of the trunk perfectly and I really wanted to keep the bowl in the same spot...Lo and behold, the cats discovered it and the rest is history...Typical cat-nature is to share new discoveries...Once one discovers a new place~everybody wants to try it out...

***

I'm happy to say that the bowl is hardly empty now...Izzy(white) takes the morning shift and you can find Muggins squeezed in it during the evenings... They make great decorations!...

Take Care,

Tina

Tina ... I'm so impressed with the length of time you got to enjoy your Pumpkins ... mine made it

Love it Tina - thanks for sharing! I have a huge dough bowl on my table that I filled with dried grass and gourd eggs - awaiting the Easter Bunny's arrival to fill with good chocolates. I was flabbergasted when my kitties nested right on top. Guess there won't be any edibles in there after all. Thanks for the "happy" perspective on my predicament! Robin

My JoJo loves her wooden bowl. I had something in it for about 2 weeks. As soon as I took it out, she was right in it. She does believe she needs a bigger one....this one seems to be shrinking!!

Hi Tina: I found you through Notforgotten Farm and the kitties in the dough bowl definitely looked familiar. Easter grass adds extra comfort at this time of year. ~Roberta

So cute! My cats do the same thing...squeeze themselves into the smallest areas possible. I suppose you have a great decoration for next Halloween!!
