... It Happened!...

Well, it has happened before my eyes...no matter how hard I try to put on the brakes and slow it down...My babies are mature young adults now and there is nothing I can do about it!!! I am such a mother hen and have always tried to keep them under my loving protection. If you have ever watched "Gene Simmon's Family Jewels" that's a glimpse into my psyche. They are so sentimental when it comes to their kids and hate to see each new phase of young adulthood...just like me!! I don't have a tenth of the money they have or visit the playboy mansion but I can connect with them... strange but true ...I must have some syndrome or something... "motherhen-itis" ?

My youngest, Rebecca, went and got her drivers license today...I should be happy but can't she just ride her big wheel? I know they have to grow up and I'm so happy they are both healthy and well -adjusted but I'm still their mama and it's all so bittersweet...Letting go is so hard...

Here's a photo of my hubby and my two little babies, Jacob and Rebecca, from earlier this year...
Take Care,
Tina

Oh how I feel your pain =D My oldest is starting college in 3 weeks. My middle son who is 12 has nothing but attitude and wants no hugs or kisses anymore, so sad.........but my littlest who is going to be 3 in a couple months loves all the sugar I can give her!! Amazing how they grow and become independent of their mommas!!

Tina...
How Special a photo of 'Your Babes'...(ALL Three Of Them)
Don't worry my friend, I think I have the same illness...My oldest is 24 and I STILL can't let her go...She's flown from the coop but I still have to put my 2 cents in...Can't imagine how my Mom did it so gracefully (maybe she didn't, I just didn't notice I guess)

So Enjoy them and Cherish them for who they've become...

Always My Best...Marilyn

What a beautiful family you have Tina! Even though mine are with me all day (home school) it is still difficult to watch them grow up and want to try new things...like driving! Congrats to your daughter though.
