..... Old Brick Colonials.....

I changed my logo once again...I had a gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach that this would happen again!!...I liked the saltbox I had before but the old brick colonial has a special place in my heart. I am a native of Virginia. I was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, rich with history and scenery... Old brick colonials are a dime a dozen around there so I grew up with them and with the daydream of wanting to live in one. I have so many favorite ones in Staunton and on the way to Roanoke...I always look at them every time I head in either direction...It's almost like a habit...My hopes of living in one now are not too bright. I married a VMI cadet over 20 years ago and he has provided a wonderful life for us...but not in Virginia...When I daydream now, I'm realistic...I'd much rather have him than a brick colonial (but I wouldn't pass it up if the opportunity came along!)...just kidding!

Take Care,

Tina

Well, I like this one too! And growing up in VA, with it's rich history, must have been a wonderful experience. I also had a "dream" of living in an old house and renovating it, but I'll keep the "old" husband instead! :)

So glad that you are finally feeling better. I have a family link in that area Charlottesville. I am the great, great, great gandaughter of James Barbour a former govenor of Virginia. His home burned to the ground on Christmas day in the 19th century...I am sorry I don't remember the year, Its one of my favorite parts of the country. Hugs, Robin of the Baggaraggs

I like your new banner too. I know what you mean we left NYC 16 years ago and have traveled to many beautiful places, nothing like home though. We are now in Va and it is a beautiful state but how I'd love to go back home and be closer to our families. It makes it easy when you have a wonderful supportive husband.

I've never been to Virginia but have it on my "places to see before I drop" list. A beautiful state rich in American history. :> )
