...A Cat and Some Hats...

I'm sure you probably don't want to know this but I have been sleeping like a hibernating grizzly bear these last few nights...Deadlines always send me in a tizzy and I never stick to them (a major problem)... I have my first and only show coming up at Lori's (Notforgotten Farm) in just a couple of weeks and boy am I behind?...The answer is "YES"... I am definitely behind!!...

My one downfall when dealing with these events is~ I keep thinking of and adding new items on a daily basis. This makes it nearly impossible for me to finish everything I want to take and keeps me working from sun-up to sun-down ... I could vent and lament about this to infinity...but I won't because ~ "It is what it is" ~ ( this is a favorite saying of mine! )...

Today was a very nice and sunny day so I baked some items in natures oven ~ the sun ... I had my deck covered in body parts... doll bodies , that is! As you can see, I had an adorable little fuzzball helping me out...This is "Yard Kitty". She came with the house when we moved in...The previous owners just abandoned her and it took us awhile to earn her trust but now she is so sweet and so loving. She's part of the family and we love her just as much as the three housecats we have... I love her immensely even though I have seen her eat a squirrel, a snake, a bird ... and a lizard!! ... That makes her almost as valuable as the Orkin man...

... Kitty Update...

It's been one heck of a week!! I have had to try to convince my husband that we need another cat... I finally have him convinced and my daughters friend decides that they want to keep her!! I hope that they will reconsider because they intend to keep her outside...and she's deaf...not good!

My daughter is still trying to persuade them to change their mind...I haven't quite given up hope yet... I will definitely let you know if everything works out and we get her. I just wanted to fill you in on what's happening in my kitty saga...

...What To Do? ...

A sweet little kitty came to visit me today...She was found by a friend trying to make it across a very busy road. After saving her and bringing her home, it appears that she may be deaf because she doesn't react to loud noises... We have been asking around trying to find her owner but haven't had any luck...

After seeing her and playing with her all morning...I am hooked!! She has a great calm personality and she is a very pleasant little kitty. I am having a hard time deciding whether I should take her...If I don't, she will be going to the shelter where, with her handicap(deafness), she will probably be passed over and we all know what her future is then...I'm sorry, I just don't have trust in many of these "shelter" organizations...That's just the way I am...I also have to talk myself into things too as you can see by this blog!!

... Flip -side Clyde ...

Things have been pretty busy around here lately...getting ready for the show and for Fall takes a lot of time and effort. My sickness in June set me back a wee bit so I'm trying fast and furious to make up for lost time...

I run here and there and everywhere when busy...I get a little scatterbrained sometimes though ...I leave my scissors all over the house and then I have to backtrack and find them and I love to look out windows when I go in a room searching ...(Yes, I'm very nosy but it's in my genes )...I just happened to see these two little squirrels doing something very strange...They were stretched out , upside down , eating a nut, on a tree!! I've seen these squirrels do weird things here before ~ but this one takes the cake!! I just had to grab the camera and get a shot of them...

It reminds me of that gadget on the commercials that I want to get one day. It flips you upside down to relieve pressure on your back...It looks so relaxing...Thankfully, I don't have to hang onto it with my toes like they do on the tree... I couldn't handle that!!

... Dis ~ Organization!! ...

Oh the joys of not cleaning up!! I wish I could treat the whole house like I do my attic sewing room...Things are partially sewed then set aside and some things are in a pile waiting to be sewn...No matter what degree of "done" they are, I decide when I have had enough and just leave them where they lay!!! It's so fun to just leave and not worry one bit about how disorganized everything looks or the fact that things are falling off the table or scattered on the floor... I just shut my door...and say... ahhhh!!!

I have been frantically working to catch up for the upcoming show at Lori's(Not4gotten Farm) and I'm trying to keep something on ebay for this witchy season we are in... I'm also still plugging away at the quilt that I'm trying to make for my mother as a Christmas gift...As you can see, I'm still working on the blocks, I've got about twenty to go before sewing it together...I hope I can pull it off this year, it's on my "to do" list every year!! My mama wants a quilt and she's been very patient...

... Twas a Busy Day ...

Many things were accomplished here...I think I kinda made up for all those lazy days that I took off this summer! I have a new listing on Ebay..."A Very Crooked Wytch"...and I managed to list a couple items in the "Seasonal" category on my website...I don't know what got into me today...I was so efficient...Please check them out if you can!!!

...YIPEE!! ...

I'm back...I'm back and I'll bet you never even knew I was missing!!!...Unfortunately my internet modem went kaput last Thursday evening and I just had a repaiman over this morning to pinpoint the problem...Another unfortunate thing is that they don't work on Saturday so I had to patiently wait through the weekend...with NO internet!!! I went crazy... I never knew the depths of my addiction until this weekend...Friends, it's bad!!!

All's well now and I will be listing another primitive wytch on ebay tomorrow evening...So please be keeping a weathered eye open...she's a doozy!!
