...A Very Solemn Week...

A new week and a new beginning... Last week was very stressful and seemed very long. I lost my grandaddy last monday and he was buried on my birthday, last wednesday. We spent most of the week in Virginia with the family. Losing grandaddy was very hard but his last days on earth were very rough...he's at peace now...that's comforting...

I have been working on new things for the website and The Primitive Gathering is coming up...

Please be patient and keep watching...I'm trying to shift back into gear and pull everything together....

...A Notforgotten Weekend...

The much awaited event at Notforgotten Farm is now history...It was a wonderful experience and Lori was such a warm and sweet person...I feel as if I have known her all my life!! She put together a very successful event and it was very enjoyable to be a part of ...In fact, I am already thinking of next year...if she'll have me back... The one thing I am very disappointed about is that I forgot my camera...no photos, darn!

I had the pleasure of meeting some of my sweet ebay customers there(small world) as well as some very nice new customers. It was so great to see so many kindred spirits...Thank you all!!

Even though my weekend was great, my little spotted cat(E.B.) was always on my mind...she is my constant shadow...She follows me everywhere I go... In fact, she is lying here on my computer desk now watching me... We are just inseperable and it's so painful to leave her... I got to rub her little head and listen to her purrs when we got home yesterday(I know, I'm losing it!) ... It's always nice to come home!!

...Favorite Show...

This time of the year makes me very happy...The leaves are starting to turn, the days are getting more overcast and the oppressive heat and humidity found in the summer is fading away... Also, my birthday is on its way and will arrive on September 24...just like clockwork. I'm happy for the goodies that day...not the new "age". It's just a great season that I have always felt close to...I love this time of year!

Another great thing that happens every September is new episodes of one of my favorite shows..."Ghost Hunters". Okay, go ahead and laugh...it may sound funny, but I wouldn't miss this show for anything. I love the history in each location and the folklore involved in every haunting. I get along good with the team too...Alright, they don't know me but after all these years, I feel like I know them... I know you're still laughing. :0) Anyway, it's a great show and tonight's gonna be a good one. If you've never watched an episode, you should try it out... I think the SyFy channel should hire me in their advertising department!

...Signs of Fall...

Today was such a pretty Fall day. The canadian geese are migrating now and it's so nice to hear them honking as they fly over....The crows are loud in the freshly harvested cornfield behind the house...The chickadees,cardinals and titmice are visiting the feeders a lot more...All of these little winged creatures plus the lower humidity are creating a very inviting atmosphere outside...

I have been sitting outside handsewing some last stitches on the "have to do's" for the show next weekend. I probably should have stayed inside where it's easier to focus and not daydream...Oh well, I'll be up later tonight...

I'll be dreaming of needles and thread in my sleep this week!

...Ahhh... Fall...!!

Just thought I would check in to my blog for a minute... I have been busy trying to juggle everything and meet every deadline...I got my listings on The Primitive Gathering on time and I have even managed to keep something on ebay every week...I do have a darling little wiccan coming up next week!... I'm doing all this while The Primitive Show at Notforgotten Farm looms on the horizon...I actually didn't realize how little time is left before the show, until my rude awakening this morning... Things are moving at a fast pace here and I keep telling myself how I will long for these days when things slow down over the winter!!...

On a lighter note, I have been playing tennis with my daughter bright and early every sunday morning...She's on the school tennis team this year and I was on my high school tennis team many, many, many years ago...I have to say, even though I'm dragging and begging for a bench and water, I really, really enjoy it! We play for two hours straight and these old bones are definitely not what they used to be... I have learned a valuable lesson in this: I may feel seventeen on the inside but after we play...I know how old I really am!!! LOL
