..... Watching the Blue Jays .....

No, they're not some ball team... I have hit a lazy mood today like you wouldn't believe. I used to get lots of sewing done on saturdays when the kids were young but my desires to sew are not that strong on this day anymore... I think I'll start considering it my day off!! I did get four new dolls finished this week and will be adding a couple to my website tomorrow...

Back to today, I have been laying on the couch watching the blue jays eat the dry cat food that I put out on the deck for the stray cats... I think the birds love the food more than the cats!! I have noticed that on weekends when I sleep a little later, the blue jays are noisily waiting for me in the trees...Since our backyard is still a forest, sometimes they sound like they're right outside my window!! This is about the extent of my fun for today...

I will be tuning into PBS for another one of my favorite shows tonight... For over twenty years now, I have been watching Hyacinth on " Keeping Up Appearances". I have always loved this show . Even now that I know each episode like the back of my hand, I still enjoy it!! I feel like I'm becoming the spokesperson for PBS!!! Oh well, sometimes you can't beat a classic...especially these days when everything new seems to be something similar to an old show...

..... A Mousewife? .....

I just heard on the news today that they have coined a new word for us working homemakers...

A woman who uses her computer to sell on ebay and websites and makes a little pocket money every week is now called a "Mousewife".... That explains why I single-handedly gobbled up that cheese bread last night... thank goodness! What will they come up with next?

On a sadder note, I watched the last installment of "Wuthering Heights" on PBS last night...

Alas, no more Tom Hardy aka Heathcliff... he played this role so well... I won't mention him again until he shows up in the next classic in about three weeks on PBS. I think he's in "Oliver Twist"...

We'll see how he does in the next one... Those who are tired of my commentaries on this guy ~ skip this part...

I'm planning on another listing on Ebay tonight...I need to quit surfing the net and get everything together!! Sometimes I'm too relaxed on these things...like now!!

..... Midlife Crisis? .....

Okay, I'm a happily married woman ...so why am I obsessed with this guy? Maybe as Heathcliff , a role which he plays so well, I feel sad for the way his happiness is all taken away from him... His life suddenly spirals downward and he has no control over it because of the class system in those days... Or maybe, it's because he is just so incredibly hot I can't stand it...

I'm letting my mind wander again when I should be concentrating on work and projects...all that creative stuff... I think I'm beginning my midlife crisis...early!

..... Winter Wonderland .....

Okay, I know by now you are probably tired of seeing everybody post snow pictures on their blog.... This is precisely why I feel bad about this post... We were hit with a pretty major snowstorm here yesterday. We got 4 inches and a few spots got 6 inches... This is a very rare event when you live down south as we do now... I think their last snow storm was about 5-10 years ago... I'd like to think we brought it down with us from Maryland since we have only lived here a year and a half...but I know there are other forces at work... Anyway, everything looks so beautiful ... so I really had to post these pictures today!

I really regret knocking that hunky picture of Heathcliff off the top of my blog... I could sit and stare at him for days...without my husband knowing, of course... just kidding!

I do have to admit...I caught myself on pbs.org a little while ago...

..... A New Fondness .....

Life can be hectic at times and this past week was very much so for me... I have been battling temps in the teens (without heat downstairs) and trips to Raleigh for my son... Sometimes it's all you can do to look for the light at the end of the tunnel... We have warm and mild weather forecast for the end of the week and I only have 6 more weeks of tutoring left to endure in Raleigh... These are my silver linings!!

While over coming these obstacles, I have immersed myself in other worlds... I am on the last chapter of the last book in the Twilight series. It is such a wonderful series and I still encourage all you romantics out there to pick it up. It is a true romance...

I have also been faithfully watching "Masterpiece Theater". This series started catching my eye back in the Fall. I would watch a story here and there and I really enjoyed them. Now, I'm hooked on them. The latest one that will be finishing up this week is "Wuthering Heights". I have never been able to "get into" the book but the show is wonderful! I can't wait to see the end and I catch myself going to pbs.org to rewatch different scenes!! I think I'm in love with Heathcliff...

I'm happy to say that I have listed a few things on my website... I'm on schedule and that's a wonderful feeling!! ... If you only knew my high hopes and aspirations for this year... You'd probably say "Ain't no way ! " ... I do hope to get caught up this year from last year ... at least!

Anyway, did you catch "American Idol" last night? It was pretty good. I sat there and laughed quite a bit... It may sound mean of me but come on!! I'll be tuning in tonight... they'll be in Kansas City... We lived there for a couple years ~ a very nice place...

....... Fresh Ebay Listings .......

Hello Y' All !!

It's Monday again so for me that means listing on Ebay...It's a habit I'm afraid I have fallen into at the moment. I don't know how but it just happened !! Anyway, there's two great primitive dolls over there you can take a peek at.....

I have some dolls made and pictures taken for my website but I probably won't be able to list them until Wednesday...They are so primitive and kinda different in style...I think they would look wonderful in any primitive home...Don't forget to check them out Wednesday evening!!!

..... The Weekend is Here !!.....

Can you believe we have reached the end of another week already? It's so easy to fall into routines and not notice the passing of time...I remember being a little whippersnapper and wishing that time would go by faster...it just seemed to drag on forever back then...

I'm getting ready to go take a shower and settle in and watch a few ghost shows tonight on the Travel channel... For some reason, I love these type of shows. My most favorite of all in this category is "Ghost Hunters". I never miss an episode... Anyway, I guess it's the history of the places they visit along with the mystery of the unknown... All I know is, I get so wrapped up in them!

I have been working hard on restocking my website and have four dolls ready to photograph and post. I have a few more little "timeworns" to finish up too...I'm a busy little bee!

.....Nodding Off.....

It's amazing how a couple weeks of rest and relaxation can drain you!! The kids went back to school today and my husband went back to work...Everything is as it should be... Anyway, I'm sitting here all alone with all the new primitive ideas for this year swirling through my head and the desire to get some things polished off and listed ... However, I keep yawning and propping my head on the computer desk wanting to doze off... To make things worse, it's a nice overcast day ~ a very comfortable, sleep- inducing type of day here...that I don't need!! A little bright sunshine would come in handy right now!!

I think that all of those wondrous days of going to bed late and sleeping late are taking their toll on me today...I actually broke records this time...getting up later than I ever have in my life!! It's all just a fond memory now...I have to get back into the old routine of school and trips to Raleigh... There's light at the end of the tunnel though, we only have two months of tutoring for my son left...It will be such a relief to finally reach the end of the training...It's a long trip (1hr,30mins.-one direction) and very draining week after week... We're actually seeing some progress too...so, of course it's worth it!!
