My graphics have changed again...will I ever make up my mind? ...Probably Not!!!

Anyway, I just want to take a minute and thank Deb from "Debs Lost Treasures". She is always a pleasure to work with and she has the patience of Job!! I honestly don't know how I would manage without her and her expertise... Thanks Bud!

... An Interview ...

As some of you know, I'm an avid reader... I read a couple hours every night... I have trouble relaxing and have a hard time dozing off if I don't get to pick up a book... I wish I had some record of how many books I read each year, I would probably impress myself...but I digress, enough of this praise for myself (from myself!) LOL

Anyway, I just happened to be in the mood for vampires and I had tried reading this book in my early twenties and had to stop...blood made me weak then and I didn't get very far... Flash forward twenty odd years and reading this book doesn't seem to be an issue...I guess I'm desensitized or something! Well, I'm almost finished with the book and it's not that bad...

As usual, the movie is not so easy to find...By the way, this always happens to me. I catch onto these things years and years after everybody else does! Brad Pitt is in this one too...I never watched any of his movies when he was in his prime...that's probably why he is showing up in everything I grab lately!! The Scy-Fy channel will be airing it this friday at 6:30...I'm there!!

... Step by Step... ...

Here are some things that I am working on now...my "works in progress" are all coming along a step at a time...Santas and chalkware are the projects du jour... It's always gratifying to get past another step or stage towards finishing a goal... It's funny though...When I took these photos earlier today, I was so happy and excited to see the work I've done...However, when I started this blog and took another look at the photos, all I could think of was..."Yikes! Look at all I have left to do!"...

Oh, all of this progress was done under the watchful eyes of my little fur baby "E.B."... my little shadow...

...Website Update...

Been very busy around here making the toys and keeping the elves in line...Although, they do seem to listen quite well!!... I do feel like Santa now and my house certainly looks like the North Pole in full production!! Things are scattered everywhere and dolls are taking over...yikes!!

I did manage to add some new things to the website today and have a few more to finish and add asap...Deadlines are fast approaching for various groups too ...So I won't be slowing down yet!!

...My Humble Opinion...

If you follow my blog or read it occasionally, you know that sometimes I get very wrapped up in a show or movie ... and I love to talk about it...I happened on this movie one lazy Saturday afternoon and thought I would watch it for the heck of it(I was bored)...Unfortunately, I was hooked and miserably, I had to go somewhere... I didn't get to watch the whole movie that day.

After seeing half of the movie , it was stuck in my mind. I looked for it everywhere but because it's an old flick, I couldn't find it...not even in the grocery store!! I think I got on everybody's nerves around here talking about how much I wanted to see it again...but I figured they would get over it! Anyway, to make a long story short, my husband secretly bought a copy off ebay for me as a birthday present...It was a very sweet gesture but I wish he hadn't done that...I have watched it about 6 times since!!

I know this movie has been out for quite awhile. I must have been one of the few who have not watched this at one time or the other...I'm always behind the eight ball, anyway... Let me just end with this, I'm no Brad Pitt fan...but I'm becoming one...Tristan is part of the reason I have seen this movie over and over again...I'm a romantic at heart and he just makes you want to fix his problems and make everything better for him...a lost soul...

...A Cozy Halloween Night...

These are not words I would usually group together in a sentence...However, after a very overcast day and a rainy and cold evening...a fire in the hearth really hit the spot. It occured to me as I was sitting watching the fire today that living in my beloved Colonial Era would find me constantly stoking the fire and hauling in extra firewood to fix supper ....Instead, I got to sit and relax with a cup of coffee and think about all the things I still have to do...All the while, cooking a nice hearty meal in the crockpot...I would love to be transported back in time and I do have daydreams of living in a colonial mansion...but modern day convienences have spoiled me to the core...I don't think I could live without my crockpot or blow dryer!!

Just finished cutting out a sleigh~ full of santas today...will be posting them soon...Hopefully within a week ...Please check back!!

...What the ? ...

As I was going out my front door the other day, I noticed this strange conglomeration on my right...I have never seen mushrooms behave this way before...growing like mums...hmmm...

Well, it is fall and maybe they have seen me planting mums around the yard?...Anyway, it is eye-catching and I just had to get a photo of it...a mushroom bouquet!!

I will be adding a few more items to my website tomorrow. I have been out-racing the energizer bunny lately...It's great because I have been able to stay on track and get things done...I do have many more things to list so please check back...

...Website Update...

I'm so happy...I'm patting myself on my back right now! I updated my website today~ but there is more on the way!! My son makes primitive signs(he's really good). He cuts them, paints them, sands them and stains them...He puts quite a bit of elbow grease into each one and I think the end result is great!! I've added his signs and checkerboards to my website this morning ...please check them out if you get a chance...

Now, I've got to get back to work!!
