I 've Reached a Milestone ...and Didn't Know It!!

When sitting down to write tonight, I just noticed that my last post was number 100...It's so hard to believe that I have logged that many posts. I always considered myself a woman of few words. I was told this once in my younger days from one of my husbands Captains when he was in the Navy...I never thought of myself that way until he kindly pointed it out to everyone in the room at the time! It could be because my mouth, left unchecked, has gotten me into plenty trouble in the past... Now, I choose my words wisely and avoid the hassle!! Plus I would ramble on incoherently if given the chance...I have been known to do verbal circles and cartwheels!!

I'm happy to say, we only have two days left to go to Raleigh and then we will be finished! It has been weighing me down mentally and physically for eight months now...It will be wonderful to have it behind us...I would highly recommend this therapy (Brain Training) to anyone who has trouble with memory or focusing...It actually opens new pathways in the brain and is permanent for the student...My son has greatly improved his methods of problem solving and his confidence is skyrocketing...I thank my lucky stars to have stumbled onto it ...I just wish it was closer and not an hour and a half away!

I am still sewing as much as I can and will be posting again on my website in a short while...The Primitive Gathering is coming up on the first and I have a couple more angels and something extremely primitive too...The Eclectic Artisans will open again on April 4 so be sure to stop by and peruse our offerings!!

..... Old Brick Colonials.....

I changed my logo once again...I had a gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach that this would happen again!!...I liked the saltbox I had before but the old brick colonial has a special place in my heart. I am a native of Virginia. I was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, rich with history and scenery... Old brick colonials are a dime a dozen around there so I grew up with them and with the daydream of wanting to live in one. I have so many favorite ones in Staunton and on the way to Roanoke...I always look at them every time I head in either direction...It's almost like a habit...My hopes of living in one now are not too bright. I married a VMI cadet over 20 years ago and he has provided a wonderful life for us...but not in Virginia...When I daydream now, I'm realistic...I'd much rather have him than a brick colonial (but I wouldn't pass it up if the opportunity came along!)...just kidding!

,,,What a Difference a Week Makes...

After a couple bottles of Dayquil and Nyquil, I'm starting to feel better... I actually got some doll bodies stitched together over the weekend... I have been wanting to complete them for more than a week now, so that's good! If only my hands could keep up with my thoughts! My goal for this week is to get some stuff listed on my website, so be watching!

My daughter took a few pictures of our daffodils today.... I wanted to catch them before they fade away because they are so beautiful but so fleeting... I wonder if there's some nugget of wisdom hidden in there somewhere...Enjoy each moment ...

..... The Bug's Got Me ...

Just a little note to say that I have been having a sick week.... If you have teenagers, you'll think "sick" means good but in this case...it's bad! I have been dodging the bullet for the last two weeks while everybody around me has been sneezing and wheezing...it finally got me... I have been moving in "slo -mo" for the whole week and have been feeling miserable... yuck!!
***
I think I'm starting to recover a little. I had planned to do an update this week on my website but I'll be pushing it into next week... I hope none of you come down with this nasty bug!

Thanks for stopping by my humble blog...

..... Offerings ~ The Primitive Gathering .....

Happy Sunday Morn! I have joined a new group of very talented artists!!...This makes me strive to create better quality and more unique "primitives" than the past...We all try to do better with each creation but sometimes you need a swift kick in the rear to put you back on track...my swift kick just happened!
***
I have always took pride in my primitives and have often felt like "primitive means primitive" and that's a charm unto itself...but I can always find ways to improve... I have some brand new creations on the chopping block now and can't wait to list them in the near future...I am one of those people who flies without a plan(another Libra trait!) so I don't know when I'll have something ready until it happens...unless I have a deadline!
***
Please check out my offerings at http://www.theprimitivegathering.com/. I'll be adding a link to the sidebar soon...
