No Time for Sitting Spells...Yet!

Time passes by as life keeps trudging forward...a little deep huh? I can't stress enough how difficult it is to be so busy that you don't realize another week has come and gone. This seems to happen to me regularly. Between the everyday chores of driving to school twice a day and Raleigh twice a week, it makes each week feel shorter...One nice thing is that losing all the weight I've lost so far has given me much more energy. I seem to get more things done each day than I used to and that is a satisfying feeling!!

I have been unable to get pictures of the latest dolls I will be listing . We have had several waves of rain in the last few days and today was a total washout! I do have a very primitive green witch that I want to get on Ebay this weekend......I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing long weekend. I'll be taking it easy and getting some of my work caught up and listed... AAhhh, the joys of a wonderful long weekend...I'm starting to daydream already!! LOL

Scheduled Chaos!

Whew!! This week has been more than busy...We just got back from visiting Mama and Daddy in Virginia on Monday. It was a very nice visit and I actually relaxed and enjoyed myself for a change. My nerves have been on end lately with my weekly trips to Raleigh...it's an hour and a half trip in one direction! I'm paying more in gas than I figured per week and the thought of my daily trips to and from school next week have had me in a tither! I have to say I have been so wound up that I really believe I could run to Raleigh on all my pent up energy!!

I am in a much better state of mind now... getting away helped me more than I could imagine. I was able to finish a large group of dolls this week. Now I just need to get photos and list them. I'm planning on adding a bunch to my website this weekend sometime.

I am also working on a primitive (round head) witch and hope to get her upon ebay early next week. She's a new experiment in my attempt to make this type of doll. I will let you know when I get these things online...

Time Flies as Seasons Change

Whoa! I just realized today that we are well into the month of August and that school is just in a couple of weeks...This year will be an especially hectic one. My first born is in his senior year of high school and would like to attend college next Fall...We still will have the gruelling travel schedule to and from Raleigh twice a week until early next year but it will be evening travel. I am not looking forward to this because I am a morning person and start winding down in the evenings ~but you do what you can and what you need to do for your kids...I will just have to take it one week at a time...We just discovered he has inherited a form of dyslexia and has been stuggling with it all along...This program he is in is called "brain training" and helps to expand memory and speed.

He's a good boy and has always given 100% and he has maintained very good grades in school despite this struggle. He still has a senior project, SATS, and homework to deal with as well as Raleigh. I hope this training will help him in his life...Mothering is a very bittersweet job...

I added some new additions to my Website and Picturetrail and have more goodies in various stages to finish and list... I hope to have them up soon so please check back often...

It's hard to believe Fall is just around the corner. I think time flies by so fast. As I get older, I'm in constant awe of how I blink and a whole entire season has gone! I still haven't come to terms with this!! LOL
