Yes, I'm Alive...

I feel so bad, it's been a little while since my last post. I made a promise to myself when I opened my blog that I would keep up my posts and thrill everyone with the exciting life that I lead. LOL

Now that I travel to Raleigh twice a week, it seems a little harder to juggle everything. However, I'm not one to give up easy so I hope you will hang with me through these slower times. In fact, I haven't really slowed down, it just takes a few days longer to get through the creative process with these minor distractions. I have another box full of doll parts in the wings that I am putting together now. I expect to have them assembled and posted on my website by next Monday...please don't forget to check them out. I'll post again to let you know... If you would like to join my mailing list, please sign up on my website and I'd be happy to add your name to my list.

I'm happy to report that all is quiet here at the homestead. There are no lizards or other creepies terrorizing the family at the moment...oops, I hope I didn't jinx myself!!! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my humble blog...I appreciate it soooo much!!!

Tina

Summer and the Lizard...

Where does the time go? ... This summer is flying by...I have been busy
at times then totally distracted at others. I don't know if I'm malfunctioning or just losing track of time!! LOL My goal this summer was to get far, far ahead of the curve but I guess those few lazy days have slowed my pace and my enthusiasm to a crawl. I do have some new creations in the making so please just be patient with me and my creative rollercoaster!!
My parents will be coming down for a visit this weekend and we have been busy scrubbing and cleaning because my mama can spot a speck of dust on a tick...a mile away!! The kids have been well trained to help tidy up and sometimes I don't know how I would make it without their help. I am very blessed to have such thoughtful teenagers.
As for the lizard that was terrorizing the family...unfortunately he met his demise. He always zigged when he should have zagged and would never cooperate with our efforts to trap him and set him free...my husband is a kind and gentle soul but he was just pushed too far...The plan was to whack him with the broom and stun him so we could remove him from our home...Apparently my husband didn't know his own strength and that's all she wrote for the poor lizard we named "Godzilla"...
I'm finding that life here in North Carolina is full of new adventures (and creatures)...I'm also a little apprehensive about what our next excitement may be!! Until next time...

Tina

Leapin Lizards!!!

It's been awhile since my last post...I hope everyone is having a relaxing and enjoyable summer.
This summer has been very slow at times but will change drastically starting tomorrow. My son Jacob will be taking a tutorial course up in Raliegh for the next 8 months. It meets twice a week and will require an hour and a half drive one way!! It's gonna be trying at times but you do what you have to do...especially if its your kids...
On a lighter note, we had a big surprise last night after supper...We were getting up from the table and my daughter, Rebecca, screamed "Lizard " !! We all craned our heads and stretched our necks as far as we could(without moving!) to see if we could see it...Next thing you know it darted out from beside the refrigerator and was headed toward the sink...After the screaming died down, my hubby tried to trap it but it kept getting away (they're fast!!)...I had to leave the room because my screaming was upsetting him!! LOL Unfortunately the lizard was never caught and is still in the kitchen somewhere...I used to enjoy the kitchen but now I'm so paranoid when I'm in there...I keep thinking I will look up and see him staring down at me from a ledge or he will run across my foot while I'm washing dishes!! LOL Whew!!
I'm still busily trying to add listings all over the place...New additions will be listed on my website next week and Lemon Poppy Seeds tomorrow...Be sure to check them out!!
Happy Summer!!!
Take Care,
Tina
